Improved exterior styling
The 2017 RAV4 encourages you to venture out in style. Its bold front end creates a chiseled look, and side lower exterior panels add to its appeal. It’s a package that’s as athletic as it is refined, and it’s ready to take you on that next great journey.
LED headlights and DRL
See and be seen with available integrated fog lights and available LED lighting‐including headlights, taillights and Daytime Running Lights (DRL). Now you can help make the road ahead even brighter.

Smart interior
RAV4 helps make comfort and convenience a priority. Reduced noise, vibration and harshness help make for a quiet cabin, and the available cargo net hammock and second-row seats with a reclining, folding 60/40 split help you easily reconfigure the cargo area to meet your needs. With this much space, you can get busy expanding your horizons.
Sporty interior
RAV4 SE elevates its interior to an entirely new level with such sporty touches as paddle shifters, red gauge cluster illumination and a distinctive black headliner.

Dynamic Torque Control
Drive with confidence. RAV4 is available with an innovative All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system with Dynamic Torque Control. It continually monitors and distributes engine power between the front and rear wheels to deliver optimum traction.
Upgraded suspension
Comfort and control. RAV4’s suspension has been enhanced to provide a smoother ride on the highway. For those with an athletic soul, RAV4 SE features a sport-tuned suspension with attractive blue shocks up front to deliver a more spirited drive.

Bird’s Eye View Camera
RAV4’s available Bird’s Eye View Camera[3] helps you see nearby objects and get into and out of the smallest spaces with ease. The system includes Perimeter Scan—an innovative feature that displays live, rotating 360-degree views of your surroundings when you’re parked.
Integrated backup camera
Back up with confidence. When you shift into Reverse, RAV4’s standard backup camera[4] displays a real-time view of what the camera sees behind you on the 6.1-in. touch-screen display on the dash.

Blind Spot Monitor
By illuminating a warning signal on the correct outside mirror, the available Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)[5] and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA)[6] help identify vehicles that you may not see when changing lanes or backing out of a parking space.
Eight airbags
We want to help you drive with more confidence. That’s why RAV4 comes with eight airbags,[7] including our driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System, driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags, front- and second-row Roll-sensing Side Curtain Airbags (RSCA), and a driver knee airbag and front passenger seat-cushion airbag.
[1]MSRP excludes the Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee of $865 for Cars, $940 for Small/Medium Trucks (Sienna, RAV4 Gas, RAV4 Hybrid, Highlander Gas, Highlander Hybrid, 4Runner and Tacoma), $1,095 for Large SUVs (Sequoia, Land Cruiser), and $1,195 for Large Truck (Tundra). (Historically, vehicle manufacturers and distributors have charged a separate fee for processing, handling and delivering vehicles to dealerships. Toyota’s charge for these services is called the “Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee” and is based on the value of the processing, handling and delivery services Toyota provides as well as Toyota’s overall pricing structure. Toyota may make a profit on the Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee.) Excludes taxes, license, title and available or regionally required equipment.

[3] The Bird’s-Eye-View Camera does not provide a comprehensive view of the area surrounding the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors to confirm surrounding clearance. Environmental conditions may limit effectiveness and view may become obscured. See Owner’s Manual for details.
[4] The backup camera does not provide a comprehensive view of the rear area of the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors to confirm rearward clearance. Environmental conditions may limit effectiveness and view may become obscured. See Owner’s Manual for details.
[5] Do not rely exclusively on the Blind Spot Monitor. Always look over your shoulder and use your turn signal. There are limitations to the function, detection, range and clarity of the monitor. See Owner’s Manual for details.
[6] Do not rely exclusively on the Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system. Always look over your shoulder and use your mirrors to confirm rear clearance. There are limitations to the function, detection, range and clarity of the system. See Owner’s Manual for details.
[7] All the airbag systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All airbags (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: typically, frontal and knee airbags inflate in frontal collisions, side torso and side curtain airbags inflate in side collisions and roll-sensing curtain airbags inflate at a severe roll angle or roll rate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating airbag, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an airbag or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The force of an inflating airbag may cause serious injury or death. See your Owner’s Manual for further information/warnings.
